Ann Olson is the Founder and Executive Director of Animal Folks. The mission of Animal Folks is to protect animals by modernizing the animal law enforcement system in Minnesota. This includes finding new, innovative ways to prevent animal cruelty and improve how animal law is enforced throughout Minnesota. Ann has conducted considerable research on animal cruelty in Minnesota, has filed multiple cruelty complaints against suspected abusers, created training manuals and curriculum on MN animal law, and, as a registered lobbyist, led or supported legislative action and advocacy. Before her efforts with animal protection, Ann was a business strategist, creative director, and writer, having worked in Hong Kong, California and Minnesota. Ann has used these skills to advance the mission of Animal Folks.
